Announces Jené Morris, Former College Basketball Champion and WNBA Player as 2025 Soul Stroll Ambassador
The Bay Area Community Health Advisory Council (BACHAC) is thrilled to announce its celebration of 30 years of service to meet the health needs of diverse communities in San Mateo County. Festivities begin on Friday, May 16, 5-8pm at the Soul Stroll VIP Reception to be held at the College of San Mateo. Then, on Saturday, May 17, 8am-12pm, festivities start for the Soul Stroll for Health Walk at Coyote Point Recreation Area in San Mateo, California. This year’s Soul Stroll Ambassador is Jené Morris, former professional basketball player, San Diego State University Hall of Famer and 11th draft pick for the Indiana Fever Team. Jené is excited to be selected for this special honor and says, “Move your body, feed your soul. Your pace. Your people. Your SOUL STROLL.”
BACHAC’s Executive Director, Lisa Tealer says, “I am thrilled to have Jéne join us as the 2025 Soul Stroll Ambassador. She is an athlete, entrepreneur, a pioneer and health advocate. She has an insightful and meaningful story to share about her health journey.” BACHAC will also celebrate BACHAC’s Co-Founder Gloria Brown and other founding members of BACHAC at the VIP Reception on May 16th. With the 2025 WNBA season also starting on May 16th, it is serendipitous to have a WNBA pioneer kick off Soul Stroll weekend and the celebration of BACHAC’s 30th Anniversary!
